Bolognese doesn’t need to be difficult. Relish in the delicious taste of Spaghetti Bolognese with our Pasta Roma Pasta Sauce – a jar full of endless flavour possibilities!
2 tbs Oil
1 Onion, finely diced
150g Carrot, finely diced
3 Cloves garlic, crushed
125g Celery, finely diced
500g Pepper Valley Minced Chicken or Pepper Valley Minced Beef
1 Cup water
385g Pasta Roma pasta sauce (any type)
200g Tomatoes, finely diced
Optional - 150g bacon, finely diced,
50g Parmesan (to serve)
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the spaghetti according to the instructions on the pack. Once cooked al dente, drain.
Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat and add onions and cook for a few minutes.
Add minced chicken or beef and cook for 4-5 mins until meat is just cooked. If you have plenty of time, you can skip browning the meat and extend the cooking time in step 4 until the meat is cooked through
Add carrots, celery, garlic, tomatoes, and Pasta Roma pasta sauce. Simmer for 15 minutes or until the vegetables have softened and the sauce thickens.
Served with spaghetti, grated cheese and basil leaves for garnish
