Easy Parippu(dhal) Curry

Ingredients 

  • 150g dhal 
  • 1 Green chilli, sliced 
  • 1 Dry chilli, sliced 
  • 2 tsp garlic, sliced 
  • 1 Onion, sliced 
  • 1 MA’s Kitchen Kiri Hodi cube 
  • 200ml Water 
  • 250ml MA's Kitchen Coconut milk 
  • 2 tbsp Oil 
  • ½ tsp MA's Kitchen Mustard seeds 
  • 1 Sprig of curry leaves 

 

Cooking Steps

  1. Add 150g of cleaned and washed dhal to a pot. 
  2. Add green chilli, garlic, onion, and MA’s Kitchen Kiri Hodi cube. Mix well. 
  3. Add water and cook for 10–15 minutes until the dhal is soft. 
  4. Add the coconut milk and let it simmer on low heat. 
  5. In a separate pan, heat oil. 
  6. Temper mustard seeds, curry leaves, garlic, dried chilli, and onion. 
  7. Add the tempered mixture to the cooked dhal and mix well. 
  8. Serve hot.
