Cook Time: 5 minutes
Serves: 2

Instructions

Ingredients:

1/2 cup rolled oats

1 cup water or milk

1 medium ripe banana, mashed or sliced

1-2 tablespoons New Beginnings Smooth Peanut Butter

1/2 - 1 tablespoon treacle, honey, or kithul pani (adjust to your preferred sweetness)

A pinch of salt

1/4 teaspoon MA's Kitchen Cinnamon Powder (optional)

Toppings:

fresh banana

peanut butter

A sprinkle of chia seeds

A pinch of cardamom powder

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the rolled oats, water/milk, mashed banana, peanut butter, treacle/honey/kithul pani, pinch of salt, and cinnamon powder (if using).
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat to low.
  3. Simmer for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats have absorbed most of the liquid and reached your desired creamy consistency. If you prefer thinner oats, add a little more liquid during cooking. If you like it thicker, cook a minute or two longer.
  4. Taste the oats and add more treacle/honey or a tiny bit more peanut butter if you like.
  5. Pour the cooked oats into a serving bowl. Add fresh banana slices, a drizzle of extra peanut butter, or any other toppings you enjoy.
