Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 500 g cooked white rice, chilled
  • 2 tbsp MA’s Kitchen Fried Rice Seasoning
  • 1 tsp MA’s Kitchen Ginger Powder
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger or ginger paste, finely minced
  • 2 tbsp MA’s Kitchen Sushi Pickled Ginger, thinly sliced
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Salt and crushed black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 spring onions, chopped

Cooking Steps

  1. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a wok or large frying pan over high heat. Add the beaten eggs, season with salt and crushed black pepper, and cook until set.
  2. Add the remaining 1 tbsp of oil to the wok. Add the minced fresh ginger and stir-fry for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  3. Add the chilled rice, MA’s Kitchen Fried Rice Seasoning, and MA’s Kitchen Ginger Powder. Stir-fry over high heat for about 2 minutes, tossing well to ensure the rice is evenly seasoned and heated through.
  4. Add the sliced spring onions and toss everything together.
  5. Divide the fried rice between bowls and top with the sliced egg and MA’s Kitchen Sushi Pickled Ginger.
  6. Serve piping hot and enjoy!

Recipe Tip: Chilled, day-old rice works best for fried rice as the grains stay separate and give you that perfect fried rice texture.
